Visotek Inc. Attends Alternative Energy Forum with U.S. Assistant Secretary of Commerce John Fernandez

The event was hosted by alternative energy leader Adaptive Materials, a manufacturer of solid oxide fuel cells, and Ann Arbor SPARK, the driving force of business acceleration and growth in the region. More than 20 high tech business leaders from southeast MI participated in the forum. Appointed by President Obama, Fernandez is charged with leading the federal economic development agenda by promoting innovation and competitiveness, preparing American regions for growth and success in the global economy. The 90 minute forum focused on funding for early and second stage companies and business development. Fernandez utilizes the roundtable forum model to encourage open dialogue where the voice of the business owner can be heard, and their feedback can be taken back to Washington where it can directly impact change and provide a better understanding of how the federal government can assist in business growth.
